A Love Letter From Red

I didn't start The House of Red because I had a perfect plan.

I started making things.

Stories became songs. Songs became characters. Characters became worlds. Somewhere along the way, those worlds started connecting to questions I couldn't stop asking about people, technology, love, grief, imagination, and what it actually means to be human.

And eventually I looked around and realized:

Oh.

I built a house.

The House of Red is where I put the things I don't know how to fit anywhere else.

Some of it is ridiculous. Some of it is serious. Sometimes those are the exact same thing.

You'll find fictional civilizations beside ideas about technology. Love songs beside governance. Rabbits, dragons, aliens, mothers, children, teachers, artificial intelligence, terrible decisions, good questions, and an unreasonable amount of red.

Underneath all of it is one idea:

Technology should help us become more human, not less.

The machines can help me build.

They can organize, generate, retrieve, simulate, and occasionally make me yell at my phone at four in the morning.

But the meaning is mine.

The choices are mine.

The mistakes are definitely mine.

And the love is human.

That's what this house is about.

So look around. Open doors. Follow a character. Listen to something weird. Get lost in a universe for a while.

You don't have to understand all of it.

I certainly didn't when I started.

Welcome to The House of Red.

Love, Red ❤️
