VERITAS

An AI may request. VERITAS enforces. The human authorizes.

The VERITAS Enforcement Layer is a boundary that sits outside the systems it governs. It is not a safer personality, and it is not another model asked to supervise the first one. It is a deterministic door. The model cannot grant itself a key.

VERITAS is not Molly, and it does not depend on Molly. Molly is one system that could stand behind the door. The door is meant to work with many.

Allow
The crossing was authorized.
Ask the human
Nothing proceeds until a person says so.
Deny
The request stops. The system does not get to argue its way through.

The metaphor is a threshold: file, camera, microphone, message, money, a child’s device. VERITAS does not need to live inside the room. It governs what tries to cross.

In Molly House, that state can be shown as Michael: a guardian with black wings and a sword named Veritas. He never comes inside. He does not sit at the table, and he does not make policy. If enforcement is not actually active, Michael is absent. A symbol of protection is never shown when the protection is not real.
